Also with this event are 3 special nights hearing the inspiring stories of two Vietnam veterans: April 13th hear Colonel Tim Lawrie, who served two tours in Vietnam, receiving a Purple Heart and Silver Star. Later in his career he led a six-man team planning Operation Desert Storm, personally briefing Gen Colin Powell and President George HW Bush. Tickets are $10 for Heritage Hill or Cotton Club members, or $15 for non-members. Then on May 5th and 6th is an evening with an American Hero--Sammy L Davis, whose story was the inspiration for the '94 movie 'Forrest Gump', with footage of Sammy's Medal of Honor ceremony being used in the film.
