In observance of the National Day of Prayer, Faith Lutheran Church is planning some opportunities for prayer, healing, and worship on Thursday, May 1. The sanctuary will be open to everyone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for personal prayer, meditation and quiet time. A resource table and prayer partner will be available for those needing assistance or help getting started. The day will conclude with a Community Prayer and Healing Service at 6:30 p.m., incorporating music, biblical reflection, meditation and additional opportunity for personal and group prayer. At the end of the service, those desiring it, may come forward to the altar rail for prayer with a member of the church’s Pastoral Office Team and/or to receive the ancient custom of anointing with oil for healing and forgiveness. Attractions include new layouts, vendors and dealers. Learn and share modeling skills with masterful modelers Mark Lasse and Fred Furkis as the demonstrate how its done.
