- Birthplace:
- Green Bay
- Education:
- Luxemburg-Casco High School. Associate Degree in radio broadcasting from Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, WI.
- First Job:
- Cleaning tables at my uncle's restaurant.
- Family Ties:
- Most of my family lives close by and I've got a younger brother and two older sisters.
- Hobbies/Interests:
- Reading, biking, and trying to keep up with the latest music charts.
- Guilty Pleasure:
- Food in general. It seems no matter where I work, one of my job titles is "Garbage Disposal", I get to eat most of the leftovers.
- Favorite TV shows/Movies:
- Movies: Currently, "Radio" and "Miracle". There are not too many modern shows that I like, but I do enjoy reruns of "Home Improvement". I'm happy watching just about all of the old sit-coms. Same with movies, I like pretty much any classic comedy.
- Pets:
- I guess I could share some pet peeves with you, but I can't think of any off-hand.
- Favorite Artist/Song:
- Although I host the hard rock show, I really enjoy the organic sounds of Needtobreathe and Downhere. Switchfoot would probably be the "edgiest" artist I enjoy listening to outside of work. My favorite Q-song constantly changes, but I think I'll always like "Let Us Love" by Needtobreathe.
- How did you end up working at the Q?
- I was looking for a way to use the production skills I learned in college, so I asked if I could be a volunteer. As I began taking on more projects, I became an offical staff member. Thank you Jeff Rydell for teaching me so much.
- Favorite Bible Passage:
- Romans 12. I will probably still be working on those qualities as long as I live, but you can't achieve anything unless you try.
- My prayer for Q-90:
- That we continue to encourage listeners to volunteer and help those in need throughout their community and around the world and that we be good role models of that behavior.
- If you could add or change one thing to the Green Bay area, what would it be?
- I'd like to improve the air quality sometimes. If the wind is right, you'll get a whiff of air that has the odor of gym socks that haven't been washed in a month.
- Who did you want to be like when you were growing up?
- A host of any TV program. I was always trying to hog the spotlight when the video recorder was going.
- If you could meet one person past, present or future who would it be and why?
- Any one of the presidents because it would be interesting to talk to a person who can look at a multitude of situations from many prospectives.
- If you were granted one wish, what would it be and why?
- Q 90 has already granted me a big wish but letting me host Nights on The Rock. All of the feedback on the show has been encouraging and I feel challenged by my role at the station.
- What was the last book you read, and when did you read it?
- I just finished "Boy Meets Girl" by Joshua Harris and it took me forever. There are a ton of books I would love to get into but I read very slowly so my waiting list is longer than that for Packer season tickets.
- If you could ask one question, what would it be, and how would you answer it?
- I don't think I'd ask any more, The questions here already reveal quite a bit about a person.
- If you could spend a whole day with somebody famous, who would it be and why?
- Either Bob Uecker or Paul Harvey because these are both people who work hard in the radio industry, but they still have a healthy sense of humor and are humble about their success.
- What's your favorite candy and soda?
- 5th Avenue candy bars and any brand of root beer.
