- scotty[at]q90fm.com
- Birthplace:
- I think in Green Bay on my birthday, but I don't remember.
- Education:
- Graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School in 1977. I am currently in the continuing education for adults program (also known as LIFE).
- First Job:
- Yard work with my sis Terri, for my dad's friend (12 years old making $2/hour, wow)
- Family Ties:
- Wife Laura, Daughters Hannah & Rachel & Son Evan
- Hobbies/Interests:
- Electronics, home remodeling, pogo skate boarding (OK, so I'm just thinking about that one).
- Guilty Pleasure:
- No way! It's bad enough God knows.
- Favorite TV shows/Movies:
- ER, Les Miserables, Star Wars Trilogy, Little Women (new version), Jesus of Nazareth, Ever After, Secret Garden and any Veggie Tales.
- Pets:
- Two dust bunnies I keep under my desk (very low maintenance).
- Favorite Artist/Song:
- Renoir, Monet, Norman Rockwell . . . plus an unlimited number of musicians.
- How did you end up working at the Q?
- I took my van . . . but seriously folks, I volunteered in the summer of '93 because I owned a DJ service and I had on-air experience. I was hired full-time in September of 1994.
- Favorite Bible Passage:
- Genesis 1:26 (we are made in God's image), Mark 15:34 (Jesus took on every sin), John 19:30 (Jesus completes the work of salvation, not just his ministry).
- My prayer for Q-90:
- That everyone involved with the station will be within God's will in everything we do.
- If you could add or change one thing to the Green Bay area what would it be?
- A roller coaster at Bay Beach and overnight parking on city streets. Otherwise, this community is still a place of safety and, for the most part, morality - a good place to live.
- Who did you want to be like when you were growing up?
- At times, the six-million dollar man, Steve Austin (without the silly sound effects when I ran)
- If you could meet one person past, present or future who would it be and why?
- Jesus, of course.
- If you were granted one wish what would it be and why?
- For my friend, Susan, to be healed of her cancer. For myself, I'm not sure granted wishes are good for us. In getting what we want we might miss something better that God has in store for us.
- What was the last book that you read, and when did you read it?
- A Reader's Digest Condensed book - four different stories - all good.
- If you could spend a whole day with somebody famous, who would it be and why?
- You mean, other than Jesus? If he were still alive, there are few people I would wish to have a day with more than Ronald Reagan. He became the embodiment of what we should all be as citizens of this country.
- What's your favorite candy and soda?
- Buffalo wings (What? I'm a guy; candy is low on our list of favorites). Soda? Make mine ice tea - sweet - thank you very much.
